Aaron Cockerill Announces Ball, Shoe and Glove Partnership with Titleist & FootJoy
(WINNIPEG, MB) – Armed with full DP World Tour status thanks to some clutch performances down the stretch this fall, Aaron Cockerill has secured a new partnership for the coming campaign with Acushnet Company.
The Stony Mountain, Manitoba native, the eighth-highest Canadian on the Official World Golf Ranking, has signed a two-year agreement to play the Titleist ProV1 golf ball and wear a FootJoy glove and FootJoy shoes in all competitions. All three products are industry leaders on tours around the world.
“Choosing the right equipment is so important at this level where every single shot can matter week in and week out,” said Cockerill, who’s next event on the DP World Tour will be the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship from January 19-23, 2023. “I’m thrilled about this new partnership with Acushnet Company and thankful for what they do to help me play my best.”
Cockerill, the only Canadian plying his trade on the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour), experienced a whirlwind campaign in 2022. He began the season with conditional status but parlayed that into regular starts thanks to a runner-up at the Magical Kenya Open in March and a third-place finish at the ISPS Handa Championship in April.
Along the way Cockerill played in his first RBC Canadian Open in June and the PGA Tour’s Barbasol and Barracuda Championships in July. He also made holes-in-one in back-to-back DP World Tour events and led the DP World Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting.
Cockerill currently sits in 30th position on the season long Race to Dubai on the DP World Tour after his 4th place finish in just his 3rd event of the season at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa.
