(TORONTO) – The only Canadian competing full time on the DP World Tour will continue to have a distinctly Canadian look this season as Aaron Cockerill has signed a multi-year deal with Toronto-based clothier Levelwear as a brand ambassador.

The Stony Mountain, Man., native, who has full status on the circuit formerly known as the European Tour, will sport Levelwear polos, pants and outerwear with the company’s logo positioned on his left chest as part of the agreement.

Cockerill joins a Levelwear tour staff that includes fellow Canadians Corey Conners, Adam Hadwin, Taylor Pendrith, Michael Gligic and Alena Sharp.

“I’m proud of my unique journey and couldn’t do it without the support of great partners like Levelwear,” said Cockerill, who is currently the 7th ranked Canadian golfer in the world. “I love the product and the people involved at Levelwear and I’m thrilled to take the partnership to the next level together.”

Cockerill is coming off a very successful season on the European circuit that saw him go from having conditional status at the beginning of 2022 to regular starts thanks to a runner-up at the Magical Kenya Open in March and a third-place finish at the ISPS Handa Championship in April. He then made consecutive cuts to conclude his campaign to cement his spot inside the cutoff for 2023 full status. Cockerill also played in his first RBC Canadian Open in June and the PGA Tour’s Barbasol and Barracuda Championships in July. Impressively, the 30-year-old made holes-in-one in back-to-back events last season and led the DP World Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting.

Cockerill’s most recent finish on the DP World Tour was a tie for 4th at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa where he finished just four shots back of the eventual champion. He currently sits in 30th place on the season long Race for Dubai order of merit.

Cockerill will play in two of the flagship DP World Tour events in back-to-back weeks starting on Thursday with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship this week and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic next week.
