(Caledon, Ont.) – Reigning Osprey Valley Open champion Noah Steele was named on Tuesday a Player Ambassador for TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, one of Canada’s premier golf destinations.

Steele, 24, made a splash in 2021 by claiming victory at the Osprey Valley Open as an amateur, winning by six strokes in a dominant performance. The Team Canada member is competing in his first season as a professional on both PGA TOUR Canada and PGA TOUR Latinoamérica in 2022 and will wear the TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley logo during competition as part of a multi-year agreement.

“TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley is such a special place for me and I’m so thrilled to have this support as I begin my professional golf journey this season,” said Steele. “From the minute I first arrived at TPC Toronto I could see it’s a phenomenal facility. Having been fortunate to get to know the team there over the past year, I couldn’t be happier to become a Player Ambassador.”

“Noah’s game on the course is certainly outstanding, as we saw last year on the Heathlands. What has impressed me most about Noah after having the opportunity to meet him and watch him play, however, is his character and work ethic, and we’re so thrilled to support him as he continues to excel at the game’s highest levels” said TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley President Chris Humeniuk.

Steele’s victory at the 2021 Osprey Valley Open was punctuated by a final round 65, finishing at 23-under and becoming the first amateur to win on PGA TOUR Canada since 2003. His victory, along with a runner-up at the Brudenell River Classic, propelled him to a third-place finish on the PGA TOUR Canada points list.

The native of Kingston, Ont. has been a member of Team Canada since 2019 and recently graduated from Sam Houston State, where he claimed three individual NCAA tournament victories.

Steele will resume his PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season this week at the 61 Abierto Mexicano de Golf in Mexico before embarking on the 2022 PGA TOUR Canada season and the chase for the Fortinet Cup at the Royal Beach Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist in Victoria, B.C. in June.
