Team Epping Jumps to 6th in World Rankings After Victory
[TORONTO]—The updated world curling rankings were released this morning and Team Epping has jumped up to 6th in the world after a fantastic start to the season.
Highlighted by the big victory over the weekend at the Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, the squad also opened the season as a semi-finalist at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard. Their overall record on the year is an impressive 12 wins and only one loss in tournament play.
The team has garnered quite a bit of attention all summer after they announced that 2018 Olympian Brent Laing and Craig Savill were reuniting as a front end duo and joining Epping and Mat Camm.
“It feels great to get off to strong start as a new team,” said Epping, who now has 19 wins on the World Curling Tour. “We still have a long way to go but the early chemistry has been outstanding and we can’t wait to get back on the ice together.”

Team Epping will play next in the first Grand Slam of Curling Elite 10 event in Chatham, ON on September 25th-30th which will be nationally televised on Sportsnet. They will open the event on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 PM ET.
