Team Epping Wins 2019 Home Hardware Canada Cup
[LEDUC, AB] Team Epping, the number one ranked curling team in the world, lived up to their billing as an elite team by winning the 2019 Home Hardware Canada Cup after a 7-4 victory over Team Koe – a perennial favourite skipped by Kevin Koe.
“This one’s right up near the top,” said Epping about where this win ranks in his career. “It’s huge. The Brier was a special one to go to because I’ve been dreaming of going since I was a kid. This one, we just beat all the best teams in the world, so that’s huge for us.”
The victory also came with a coveted exemption into the 2021 Olympic Trials and a spot in the 2020 Continental Cup in January.
