[TORONTO]—The current 10th ranked curling team in the world led by skip John Epping announced today that they’ve reached an agreement with Shipton’s on a partnership for the 2018-2019 season.

“We’re thrilled to add another great partner and trusted brand to the team for the upcoming season,” said John Epping, a three-time Grand Slam of Curling Champion and 18-time winner on the World Curling Tour. “We know the team well at Shipton’s and their support of our team is something we really appreciate.”

Shipton’s Heating & Cooling was established in 1924 and is currently celebrating their 94th year in business as one of the most trusted businesses in the Hamilton, Oakville, Halton and Niagara areas.

The partnership will see the Shipton’s logo positioned prominently on the chest of the jersey worn by all Team Epping athletes.

“We’re very excited to partner with Team Epping for the upcoming season,” said Tim Shipton, Owner of Shipton’s. “We believe that this team has what it takes to get to the top and we can’t wait to be part of the journey with our staff and our customers.”

Team Epping added a couple of veteran players over the offseason with 2018 Olympian Brent Laing and four-time World Curling champion Craig Savill set to join skip John Epping and Third Mat Camm. Savill’s return to the rink has been a well-documented and celebrated one after he took a leave of absence to fight Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which he has successfully beaten. He reunites with Laing, with whom he won two Tim Hortons Briers, two world championships and 12 Grand Slams.

The new look Team Epping will get their 2018-2019 season underway on September 6th-9th at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, ON.
