Anderson to make his professional debut this week in Victoria, BC on PGA Tour Canada

[TORONTO]— Matthew Anderson, coming off his strongest collegiate season ever, announced today that he has selected One Eleven Management Group for representation as he begins his professional golf career.

Anderson is fresh off a T-11 individual finish to end his college career at the NCAA National Championship and followed it up with a 4th place finish last week at PGA Tour Canada Q-School to secure his status for the 2023 season.

“I’m so excited to turn professional and get my career underway this week in Victoria,” said Anderson, a Mississauga, Ontario native. “I’ve learned so much about myself and my game over the last few years and to finish off my time in college on such a high note with my teammates was icing on the cake as we begin the next stage.”

Anderson, a member of the Team Canada program, finished his college career at the University of San Francisco on a heater with four consecutive top-10 finishes including a victory at the NCAA Regional Championship where he shot 20-under par for the four days. His NCAA National Championship finish is the best result as an individual in the event by a Canadian since Corey Conners in 2012.

“Matthew Anderson is one of the most powerful and talented young players in Canada and we are thrilled to start working with him,” said Jeff Dykeman, CEO of One Eleven Management Group. “He’s put himself in a great position to start his professional career on a high note and we will do everything we can to make his journey as smooth and productive as possible.”

One Eleven Management Group manages and works with a number of Canada’s most well-known athletes and celebrities including: comedian Gerry Dee; sportscasters James Duthie, Natasha Staniszewski and Lindsay Hamilton; curling stars Jennifer Jones & Matt Dunstone; 5-time Olympian Jayna Hefford, golfers Aaron Cockerill, Noah Steele & Mac Boucher; and Canadian Golf Hall of Famer Rod Spittle.
